GSV has 11 international players (And 7 American players) on the current roster.
WNBA rosters are 11 to 12 players.
The Euro basket tournaments are June 18-29.
Teams included in the tournament with GSV players are France (2 players), Lithuania (1 player), Italy (1 player ), Belgium (2 players ) and Great Britain (1 player).
After GSV decreases its roster from 18 to 12 players, a maximum of 7 players (probably fewer depending on who GSV eliminates ) could play from June 18 to June 25 in the euro basket games and be unavailable to GSV.
Follow up to Run_TMCs comment yesterday, the Chron article noted:
"Jocyte was born in Washington, D.C., which put her draft status in question before this year. Domestic players are eligible to be drafted at age 21, but since Jocyte grew up in Lithuania and has played overseas her entire life, she became eligible for 2025."
So, I'd assume being born in DC that she's kept her US passport, and won't have to worry about potential visa issues.
Yes the visa is no problem… I think the main question is about her Eurobasket commitments and whether GSW wants to delay signing her until next year, etc. They talked briefly yesterday and are due for a longer discussion soon.
She has stated pretty clearly in interviews that the Lithuanian national team is her priority so whatever they do I assume they will have to take that into account. I think that may be an issue with a lot of the players we have so far, right?
Yes, it will be a ghost town in June. Eurobasket is Jun 18 to Jun 29 and there figures to be national team practice before. Eurobasket is once every two years so this is going to be a recurring issue
Between Kate Martin and now Kaitlyn Chen, it seems like Nyanin and Nakase have a type (and it’s pretty similar to Steve Kerr’s). Glue guys on winning teams, with experience playing alongside major stars… Now we just need a star of our own!
Excited also to see what Jocytė and Sellers can bring. I’ve got some PI folks in my life who were hoping for Paopao, but I’m glad they took a chance on Sellers. She looks bigger and stronger in those highlights than I might have expected based on her overall profile. Also, those photos from her engagement are sweet ☺️
USA Today on Sellers: "If there's one category she'll have to sharpen up, it's a tendency to telegraph passes inside, which resulted in some avoidable turnovers."

There are 3 scheduled GSV games during this time.
Gonna be honest, Juste ‘s highlights look decidedly unimpressive.
Did you see anything you respected about her play?
Chron article on the two new signees (Justè is not signed yet). Nothing earth shattering to report.

Excellent. I have video of the press conference and intend to transcribe it but it didn’t sound like great revelations were made.
Do we not know exactly what the injury to Sellers' knee was?

I’m not sure I like this, but Substack did not allow me to respond with a GIF of Alonzo Mourning being mad and then acknowledging
Nice writeup!
Pretty excited about all 3 players. I guess we might not see Juste before August, but looking forward to seeing them all play at some point.
Found this Andscape article on Sellers:

Make sure to scroll down to the pictures of her dad (former Bull Brad Sellers) and her in the same defensive stance

Enjoyed the article.
