Curious about the difference between FIBA basketball and the Valkyries’ style. Is it the speed, or the types of plays/defense, or the intensity, the play signals and positioning, or the banging? Sometimes Leite gets banged around like a pool ball. Justë commented that her body wasn’t ready for the WNBA. I was wondering if that was a matter of her strength or her inability to take all the banging, or what? Any ideas what’s stopping the returning Europeans from adapting to Valkyries’ style?
I mostly have heard players talk about how physical and tough the WNBA is and how much stronger and faster everyone is.
With Zandalasini and Salaun, I wonder also if it’s partly that they’ve come off EuroBasket where they had permanent green light for shots on their national teams and now have to play off the ball more and can’t create as easily for themselves.
